Project GR+QM

Back when I was at K-State, Louis Crane [my official academic advisor] was instrumental in inspiring an interest in the problem of reconciling the two most successful scientific theories of our time: General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics.

My understanding (I have not personally read the papers attempting to document this) is that the coordinate-dependent integral equation that summarize "a particle has to be somewhere" break down under general-relativistic coordinate changes. Considering that coordinate transformations that preserve integral quantities are highly specialized even in single-variable complex analysis, this is not totally surprising.
