Re: George Fisher on the historical reputation of the Serbian Orthodox Church in the early 1900's

I recently (May 8, 2001) got permission to cite this email in reply to George Fisher's commentary. My first impression was that the author was mostly in agreement with George's key points. Most of the details mentioned match things in the dialogue which I initially quoted from.

I was looking around and saw your terribly wrong and misleading article about the Serbs. First of all, there is no such thing as an "Ethnic Bosnian." I assume when you mention those "bosnians" you are talking about the Muslims. The Muslims in Bosna are Serbs and a few Croats who betrayed their own people by converting to Islam. By becoming Muslim they had more rights and they used those rights to oppress their own kind. Further more there was a line that said, "The Serbs took Kosovo from the Turks before WWI." How you misrepresent history. The Turks, took Kosovo from the Serbs in 1389. However Kosovo was ALWAYS a part of Serbia until Tito came into power. That was the first time Kosovo became an autonomous region.
And as for assasinating Albanians in Kosovo from that time forward, you are also VERY wrong. The Albanians were brought to Kosovo by the Turks to spread Islam. They were the oppressors. Especially during and after WWII. (During WWII the Nazia gave the albanians Kosovo and I believe Macadonia) After WWII the number of Serbs and Albanians in Kosovo was equal. However, the Albanians, through harrassment and oppression, began driving the Serbs out.
The Albanians would vandalize Serb homes, beat Serb children and then they would offer them money (money which comes from their huge heroin empire) to leave Kosovo. Many of these Serbs now live in the town of Lazeravac. As for Montenegro escaping corruption, you are again very wrong. It is a literal port for the Italian and Albanian mafia. It is a land rift with family fueds very similar to the Hatfields and Mc Coys.

As an American with Serb roots from Bosnia, Croatia AND Montengro, I would appreciate it if you would fully research your history (everything I said can be looked up) before you post such slanderous things about my people.
